Anita Krajnc

Anita Krajnc is co-founder of Toronto Pig Save and Executive Director of Animal Save Movement, a worldwide network of groups bearing witness to farmed animals at the front gates of slaughterhouses using love-based, grassroots activism.  Anita is global coordinator for the global Plant Based Treaty campaign which aims to transition the world to a plant-based food system, to ensure we live within our planetary boundaries.

Dr. Muzammil Ahmad

Dr. Muzammil Ahmad is a medical doctor with certifications in nutrition, a masters in psychology and a bachelor’s in business, currently in last year of Family Medicine residency at McMaster University.He believes a healthy lifestyle starts with a healthy diet rich in whole plant-foods.

Ina Maria Toncescu

Ina Maria is a Board Director and Business Development Manager at Canadians for Responsible Food Policy. She leads the donor relations, marketing and lobbying efforts at CRFP. Ina Maria went vegan in 2020, after attending a demonstration in Regan Russell's memory, a dedicated activist, killed while protesting the new Ag Gag Bill 156.

Dr. Nivedita Patel

Dr. Nivedita Patel practices hospital medicine at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital. She completed medical school and residency training in Family Medicine from McMaster University.  She also currently holds an Assistant Clinical Professor role at McMaster University and is actively involved in clinical residency education.

Dr. Zahra Kassam

Dr. Zahra Kassam is a radiation oncologist at the Stronach Regional Cancer Centre  and assistant professor at the University of Toronto. Zahra co-founded Plant-Based Canada to promote plant-based whole food nutrition that is sustainable, healthy, and promotes the well-being of the planet and all its inhabitants.

Tina Schmidt

Tina Schmidt is a graphic designer with a background in corporate fundraising, an avid volunteer, a vegan and, most importantly, a person with a deep love and empathy for all animals – large and small. Tina is a mother to four rescued critters (two cats and two bunnies) in addition to being a great friend to the residents of The Ass Menagerie Sanctuary in Wainfleet and Black Goat Animal Sanctuary in Smithville.

Nathaniel Erskine-Smith

Nate has been vocal in support of improving animal protections, he has introduced legislation to modernize animal protection laws, and he has helped to establish the Liberal animal welfare caucus in Ottawa, of which he is a member.
